As Director of Organizational Development at OneAscent, Halston Kirkpatrick leads the company’s efforts to cultivate a thriving, purpose-driven workplace. His core responsibilities include attracting and retaining high-caliber team members who align with OneAscent’s core values, fostering a learning environment that encourages both innovation and continuous growth, and managing company-wide initiatives that support organizational health and employee development. Halston also oversees all Human Resources and payroll functions, ensuring a strong infrastructure for both operational excellence and people-first leadership.

Before joining OneAscent, Halston served in a similar capacity at a regional facilities services firm, where he focused on building scalable development programs and empowering employees at every level to reach their full potential. He brings a thoughtful, strategic approach to talent development—one grounded in both data-driven insight and a deep commitment to human flourishing. Halston holds a B.A. in Mathematics and Philosophy from Wake Forest University and an MBA from Auburn University’s Harbert College of Business.

Halston and his wife, Katie, live in Birmingham with their two daughters. Together, they are active members of Covenant Presbyterian Church, where Katie serves on staff as coordinator of the Iron City Fellows program.
